Being as Well as Doing

by Owen K Waters

Many spiritual seekers have a nagging doubt about life, one which comes and goes and sometimes troubles them deeply. They intuitively feel that they are here on Earth to help humanity, but they just can’t seem to figure out what exactly they are supposed to be doing about it.

The problem really comes from our current training in Western society. We are taught, from a very early age, to do things and achieve outward results, to build monuments of our outward ‘doingness’ for all to see.

But, what about ‘beingness?’

The answer to the dilemma lies in understanding that there is a difference between doing and being, and your state of being does make a difference. It actually affects the mass consciousness of the world. As pointed out in the article, You Are Changing The World, the research behind the Hawkins Scale of Consciousness reveals the enormous power of just being, especially when you raise your consciousness in order to be the best you can be. You can support literally millions of people on planet Earth just by virtue of who you are, by being a person conscious at one of the higher chakra levels.

To reach 500 on the Hawkins Scale of Consciousness, a person needs to be spiritually conscious. At this level, unconditional love and unconditional forgiveness become alive and well in their reality. Here, one person counterbalances 750,000 people who are below the 200 level that is critical for long-term human survival.

When a person has practiced meditation long and diligently enough to attain bliss consciousness at the 600 level, they are, at that moment, counterbalancing 10 million people below the 200 level.

Your chakra system is designed to receive energy from the cosmos and from the local environment. Your thoughts and feelings condition this life energy as it passes through you as it goes out into the mental environment, which is the atmosphere of the global mind or mind belt. The chakras are receiving and transmitting devices for mental and life energy. An individual is like a radio station – you transmit whatever program you are playing internally.

When you are operating from the frequencies of your upper chakra levels, you are operating in spiritual service to the world. You are spiritually conditioning the atmosphere of the global mind belt and making the world a better place.

While you are here on Earth, you are contributing who you are – your thoughts, your dreams and your passion for life – into the atmosphere of a global mind that is hungry for – more than anything else – spiritual light.

Are You a Cultural Creative?

by Owen K Waters

The Shift to the New Reality is real, and it has been gathering steam since the 1960s.

In the book, “The Cultural Creatives,” Paul Ray and Sherry Anderson detail a comprehensive study of more than 100,000 adults in the United States. They found that, since the 1960s, a huge 26 percent of these adults have made a comprehensive shift in their culture – their worldview, values and way of life. A 1997 survey conducted in fifteen European countries shows that the figures are highly similar in Europe. The following is a summary of the typical values of this new culture.

Cultural Creatives love nature, respect the Earth and are deeply concerned about the environment. They like to develop close relationships with each other, and to help and encourage other people to develop their abilities. They care about personal and spiritual development, and want more equality for women and all cultural groups.

Cultural Creatives would like to develop a new way of life. They are cynical of media-fed information, and want to find a new political philosophy that works in today’s reality. They are not materialistically driven, and typically have their finances and spending under control. They like traveling to other countries to get to know new cultures and they want to develop a sense of community where they live. Authenticity is important to Cultural Creatives; that their actions are consistent with their words and inner beliefs.

In the early 1960s, there were too few Cultural Creatives to measure in surveys. At that time, American culture was split evenly between two cultural groups – the Moderns and the Traditionals. Moderns reflect an ethic which actually goes back as far as the Renaissance, when European Protestantism freed the population to pursue a self-empowered work ethic rather than continue to give their power, freedom and sense of initiative away to authority figures.

The ethic of Modernism is that newer, bigger and faster are all better. Time is money, they believe, and people with more knowledge and wealth are perceived as having higher status. Almost half of American adults today are Moderns. Their self-empowered principles over the centuries have brought progress to civil freedoms, democracy, justice and equality. Moderns tend to believe that theirs is the only way and reject the values of other groups as being incorrect.

The positive contributions of Moderns can be appreciated when you consider the quality of life which existed before the Renaissance. At birth, in those days, your fate was sealed. You were born into a certain social, ethnic and racial group at a certain location. You would likely never travel more than 50 miles from your birthplace during your life. What work you could perform, and whom you would marry, were predetermined. You would be compelled to believe certain doctrines, as dictated by rulers, priests and elders.

Traditionals are the ones who historically react against the changes brought about by Moderns. They wish for a return to an older, simpler time, and they oppose modern trends such as equality for women. They believe that patriarchs should again dominate family life, that men should be proud to serve in the military, and that their moral values should be forced upon others. In post-World War II America, Traditionals formed half of the adult population. Today they number less than one-fourth of the adult population. Many have passed away, while some have converted into becoming Moderns or Cultural Creatives.

Within the Cultural Creatives are two distinct sub-groups. Almost half of the Cultural Creatives form a Core Group of more intense, leading-edge thinkers. The others are the Green Cultural Creatives, whose focus is directed externally, towards ecology and environmental issues, rather than towards inner personal development.

The trend-setting Core Group is typically into alternative health care, often as health care practitioners, and most of them want to develop more inner self-awareness. They shun the materialism of the Moderns and the intolerance of the Traditionals toward other peoples.

Cultural Creatives cross all types of demographic groupings. They can be of any adult age category, they can live anywhere, and have any spiritual or religious affiliation. Less than ten percent of them identify themselves as New Age. Interestingly, there are just as many New Agers within the ranks of the Moderns as there are within the Cultural Creatives. The ratio of women to men is fairly equal in the Greens Group, while the Core Group contains 67 percent women. Many of the New Age Moderns are men who are still chasing the boys’ toys of modern technology and haven’t yet settled down to finding a deeper meaning within themselves.

Compared to other groups, Cultural Creatives read more books and magazines. Half of them are regular book buyers. They watch less television and are particularly unhappy with the quality of television news. They support, and become involved in, the arts. They like well-made, durable products, natural food, personal growth and alternative health care. They have a holistic attitude; that body, mind and spirit should work together. Their homes may well be buffered for privacy by old-growth trees and large shrubs. Inside, these homes are typically decorated by craft pieces, books and original art pieces which have special meaning to them.

Their culture is one of silent trailblazing. Most of them have no idea that there are countless millions of people just like them with the same values and lifestyle. When they discover that 25 percent of the adult population are just like them, they are truly shocked and surprised.

Cultural Creatives, it could be said, are the silent revolution. Imagine how much more transformative their effect on society will be when they evolve into networking, voicing their values and forming representative movements.

Cultural Creatives are a newly emerging type of humanity. They hold the seeds of a new, sustainable culture, a culture where “quality of life” replaces “standard of living.”

Your Last Breath

by Owen K Waters

It was three in the morning when we heard her breathe her last breath.

My wife and I sat by her sister’s bed as she desperately gasped for air to keep her cancer-ridden body alive. Then, something quite wonderful happened but, first, let me explain a little more about what happens after a person takes their last breath.

We all go through physical death eventually. Hopefully, your passing will be a seamless transition into the light and you’ll pass over leaving behind only a smile and no regrets. Although our survival instinct makes us avoid thoughts of death, as spiritual seekers we have a higher, more compelling motivation. We all want to know what happens beyond the veil of what used to be the unknown.

“What happens in the afterlife?”

In the last 40 years, promises of heaven (if you’re good) have been replaced by actual, documented “facts of death,” painstakingly gathered from endless research cases. Near-death experiences have been studied until there can be no doubt as to their veracity. Then, to gain even deeper knowledge of the afterlife, many research subjects have been given recall of their pre-life experiences using hypnotic regression to open up their subconscious memories.

What we now know is this: After their last breath, a person will typically be filled with a feeling of peace and with freedom from pain, while feeling drawn to pass through an energetic tunnel into a higher world of much light and beauty.

Subjects also report being personally guided by a being of light who helps them review their life’s experiences from a higher, soul-centric viewpoint without any sense of judgment being imposed on these experiences by themselves or others.

This heart-centered, non-judgmental environment means that, while a person is still who they are as a personality, everything becomes lighter. The loads that they may have felt compelled to bear during their physical lives dissolve in the joy that comes easily in their new surroundings.

Are there heavens in the afterlife? Yes, there are many realms of existence, some of them being quite ecstatic compared to the lower frequency levels. The afterlife is structured differently to the physical world. While everyone in this world can, in theory, travel anywhere in the world, the afterlife consists of many realms of existence, each one effectively being a world unto itself.

A person naturally gravitates to the realm best suited to their personal frequency of consciousness and then lives there among like-minded people. Spiritual seekers, predictably, seek the higher realms. People content with an average type of existence live in communities filled with people of like mind. It follows that those whose motivations are less than amiable will find themselves in a realm filled with people who are like themselves in that respect. Basically, people find their own level by gravitating toward their natural realm.

Consciousness has a more observable influence on the environment in the afterlife because spirit matter is more subtle than physical matter. Spirit bodies are of a much lighter substance, which is why everyone in the spirit realms is able to levitate and travel through the air simply by exerting mental will.

A common misconception is to think of spirit bodies as non-physical. Spirit bodies are quite solid to each other, even if they seem tenuous from our dense-physical viewpoint. A better term for matter in the spirit realms would be “quasi-physical.”

When a person’s physical body dies, they take some time to adapt to life in the afterlife. Some people complete the orientation training faster than others. Those who find their passing to be a blessed release from a body that was wracked with pain are sometimes overwhelmed with a sudden sense of elation at their new-found freedom.

Such was the case with my sister-in-law. After breathing her last breath in the silence of the night, the atmosphere in the room suddenly changed and her spirit filled the air with an intense feeling of joyful celebration.

Finally… she was FREE and she was SO incredibly happy!

Set Yourself Free

by Owen K Waters

Back in the Middle Ages in Europe, the popular path towards spirituality was to become a monk or a nun. Monasteries and convents were well funded as their local populations were compelled by law to, not only attend church on Sundays, but also to donate 10 percent of their incomes to the church.

Monks and nuns took vows which relieved them of the distractions of having to make a living. They took vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. Freed from the distractions of laboring for pay or supporting a family, they were able to spend many hours per day in worship and contemplation. The obedience part of the vow was thrown in for good measure because it suited those in charge.

The problem is that, once a vow is taken, it becomes stored in your subconscious mind which, unlike your physical brain, lives on after death and reincarnates with your spirit into each new life.

If you are struggling today with money issues, close relationships, or you feel a lack of the initiative that could solve your problems, you probably took a vow of poverty, chastity and obedience in a past life. Such vows seemed like a good idea at the time but, because reincarnation was banned from the teachings of the Bible, no one realized what trouble this would cause in future lives.

Such vows were taken with no expiration date. There was no “until death do us part” type of clause included, so these individuals’ subconscious minds faithfully recorded the vows as obligations which would continue until further notice.

Today, you might be struggling to pay bills and wanting to create prosperity in your life to end the struggle. But if you have a subconscious blockage that says, “Must not have money” or “Money is bad,” then the blockage will prevail and you’ll continue to struggle.

From a neutral, detached point of view, it is obvious that money, which is just another form of energy, can’t actually be “bad” any more than electricity is bad. Functionally, money is no more than the currency of personal energy. It represents the work you’ve done and your ability to pay for the work of others to supply your needs. If you have a mental block about money, then perhaps it’s time to stop suffering and kick out the block!

While the poverty part of the vow will produce financial hardship, the chastity part will make relationships unfulfilling. The obedience part leads to a belief that people who have gained positions of authority know best. This self-denying stance is no longer appropriate in today’s world, as these are the days when the Spiritual Age is emerging. Today, we live in a self-empowered age which calls for individual mastery of life, not the blind following of anyone who claims to know best. They rarely do.

There is one expert in this world who knows what’s really best for you and you see that person every time you look in the mirror! Look into the reflection of your eyes – the windows of the soul – and ask for the eternal wisdom that lies within you to come forth. You already know the answer to every personal challenge. Just give your conscious mind permission to hear that inner wisdom.

Sooner or later, all obsolete vows need to be released in order to set yourself free from the invisible chains of self-imposed limitation. Any vows taken in past lives with no expiration date are typically inappropriate in the way they affect later lives. The circumstances that made a past life vow appropriate at the time no longer exist because every life is a different adventure in a different setting.

In order to develop your own potential, you need to be free of obsolete, past-life obligations. Only you can develop your potential. No one else can do it for you. This life is your adventure and it is your time to either grow to realize your true potential or to be hobbled continually by blockages that slow everything down.

If you suspect that your subconscious mind may be harboring inappropriate vows, you can release them quite simply by conscious effort. Here’s how to set yourself free with your own personal Declaration of Independence:

Enter a quiet state and make this necessary and long-overdue statement:

“I now renounce and release all vows that I have taken which have outlived their purposes and which now limit my potential for growth. I reclaim my personal freedom and declare such vows renounced and released as of now. I replace old vows with the knowing that I am loved and that I am Love.”

For best effect, repeat it two or more times, adding feeling and meaning each time. Continue to re-visit the statement until you feel truly liberated and able to move forward to grow and naturally prosper in these, the dawning days of The Spiritual Age.

Set your friends free! Let them know how to release hidden limitations…

The Dark Light Effect

by Owen K Waters

This article extends the information contained in the article, In Space, No One Can See The Stars. It points out how the magnetosphere, as well and the atmosphere, interferes with the passage of light, transforming it from its metaphysical, invisible state to a physically visible state.

In its free-traveling state, light is composed of three energy charges – electric, magnetic, and etheric. The nonphysical etheric energy encases the other components, making the light invisible to physical eyes. When a particle of light hits a barrier, or is interfered with to the extent that it changes course, it loses its etheric charge. The Earth’s atmosphere diffracts light, making it change course, as does its magnetosphere.

The Earth’s magnetosphere is a zone of magnetic energy which extends for many thousands of miles into space and is blown along by the electrically-charged solar wind. Magnetic energy and etheric energy interact with each other as do magnetic energy and electric energy. In cosmology, the reason that “dark energy” (etheric energy) and “dark matter” (etheric matter) are known phenomena is because of their interaction with gravitational fields.

Like the atmosphere, the magnetosphere interferes with light enough to make it become visible.

The Solar Wind Carries the Magnetospheric Wind Away From Earth

TheMagnetosphericWindThe variable direction of the magnetospheric wind accounts for astronauts having seen stars only sometimes. Neil Armstrong, on his way to being the first person to walk on the moon, reported that he could not see the stars while on the way to the moon. His Apollo 11 flight was launched shortly after a new moon. Had they flown toward a full moon, they would have been enveloped in the downwind side of the magnetospheric wind as the Sun blew it from the Earth in the direction of the moon. As it was, they could only detect stars through the telescope-equipped navigation system – a device which does interfere with the passage of light enough for a navigation star to be detected.

Curiously enough, his command module pilot later reported being able to see stars visibly once he was in a low altitude orbit around the moon, which would mean that the moon’s magnetosphere made such sightings possible.

Why Light Becomes Visible

When light hits a barrier and is forced to change course, its non-physical etheric energy component carries on as if no barrier had been encountered, much like a ghost passing through a physical wall. The physical (electromagnetic) component of the light, now diverted onto a different path and free of its nonphysical shroud, becomes visible.

The Dark Light Effect is that light – which consist of etheric, magnetic, and electric energies – travels through free space in an etherically-cloaked state until it encounters a reflective barrier or becomes encumbered by a physical or magnetic filter, at which point it becomes separated from its etheric component, becoming uncloaked and physically visible.

Life-Choking Limitation

by Owen K Waters

Are you struggling financially? Is your monthly budget mapped out to the tiniest degree with nothing extra to spare? Have your money worries become a giant pain in the neck?

Here’s the reason why…

Poverty can afflict spiritual seekers more than any other educated group of people because of past lives. Often in the past, a serious-minded spiritual seeker would incarnate for the purpose of exploring life as a monk or a nun.

The vow of poverty that came with such a decision was no problem. At the time, it was a great idea. After all, they would be supported in their life of service by a monastery or nunnery. The problem is what happened later.

You were born into this life with a full memory of all your past lives – and vows – tucked away in your subconscious mind. Those vows keep on affecting you. They keep on going and going like the batteries in the Energizer Bunny, molding the way your conscious mind sees life.

So many of us have been monks or nuns in past lives, renounced money, and trained ourselves to think that money is a distraction from spiritual pursuits. Then, in this life, we wonder why money becomes such a focus, simply because there is never enough of it to pay the bills!

Poverty and Prosperity

In my case, I have spent this entire life as a dedicated spiritual seeker. I have experienced poverty and I have experienced prosperity. As a child, my family was so poor that I qualified for free meals at school. Shopping for fun never crossed our minds; we only replaced clothes and shoes when the old ones were well and truly worn out.

Later, I decided to try affluence instead. Wow, what a difference! I lived in “Beverly Hills, 90210” before it ever became a TV show. I drove a brand-new luxury car that belonged to me, not the bank. I had no debts and enjoyed the good things in life to the fullest. In affluent neighborhoods, you sense a palpable aura of comfort that fills the air.

Did all that detract from my spiritual pursuits? No way! I learned more new things about spirituality at that time in my life than I ever had before. The monk thing didn’t get in my way because I’ve never done a vow of poverty in any past life. I was a monk once, back when the Buddha was alive, but that was at a time when the whole poverty vow idea hadn’t been invented yet.

So, unencumbered by a vow of poverty that can haunt a person’s subconscious mind, I showed that a person can be poor or prosperous – either way, there’s no barrier – it’s simply a choice.

Now, if you have been haunted by the conviction that poverty is next to saintliness and find yourself continually struggling to pay the bills, what choice do you have? Well, you can dig up that old vow of poverty and consciously release yourself from it, even if you don’t remember the past life details about how and when it happened.

Poverty used to allow monks and nuns to focus on serving their institution. In today’s commercial world, however, it causes severe, life-choking limitation. If you harbor the hidden belief that your bank account should be perpetually empty, then letting go of that unconscious, contracting belief in poverty will open up huge doors of personal freedom.

A life of adventure and discovery awaits you

In today’s world, especially when you are retired, you can only pursue your greatest joys if you have the necessary resources. Travel, study, adventures and hobbies all take funds. At one time, a vow of poverty let you focus on your purpose. Today, however, it makes you miss out on many of the potentially fun experiences and consciousness-expanding opportunities in life.

I am about to give you a way to release any vow of poverty that may be residing in your subconscious mind. Once you have released such a barrier to your own natural abundance, here is how you can create a new life of freedom from financial limitation.

Thoughts are creative. When you focus an intention, the nature of the universe is to mold itself into that intention. The universe is abundant. If you think you have lack, the universe will create the perception of lack; then your life will be abundantly filled with lack.

The Missing Part of “The Secret”

Of course, prosperity doesn’t just materialize because you wish it to be so. Intention alone won’t do the trick. The Law of Creation has three parts: Intention, Feeling, and an essential third component – Action. What action is needed?

Increase the value of your service to society. Observe what people need and help them connect with it.

Once you release any subconscious vows that no longer serve you, it feels perfectly fine to accept a financial exchange of energy for services rendered.

Now, you’ve probably heard that the love of money detracts from spiritual pursuits, and so it does. But let’s get it right. It’s the LOVE of money that’s the issue, not the money itself or the natural expectation that you will be fairly paid for your services.

After all, money is the way we share our labors in this complex modern world. We are no longer in the agricultural age, trading potatoes for milk or clothes or wood. We specialize in our work and we use the form of energy called money as a medium of exchange for an endless variety of the results of other people’s specialties.

If you don’t enjoy the full freedom of the financial abundance that you deserve as a spiritual person, do the following release exercise. The result can be like the difference between night and day.

Here’s Your Ticket to Freedom

Right now, make a personal declaration of release. Enter a quiet state, become inspired by the thought of God, the universe, or the ultimate state of Infinite Being and then declare with feeling;

“By the power vested in me by my existence within Infinite Being, I now cancel all unconscious vows and obligations which no longer serve me. I thank them for how they have served me in the past and I release them now. I replace them with the unconditional love and abundance which flows through all of Creation. I AM Infinite Being.”

The next day, if you find yourself haunted by any nagging doubts about whether you deserve your full worth as a spiritual human being who is bettering the world, repeat the process. If necessary, keep repeating for as long as it takes.

The world is waiting for you to rise to the place where you will realize your life’s full potential.

In Space, No One Can See The Stars

by Owen K Waters

In the daytime, you can see the Sun in the sky and, at night, you can see the stars. But, if you go far up into outer space, you will NOT see the Sun and you will NOT see the stars!

NASA keeps quiet about that little-known fact because, even today, scientists do not understand the nature of light. To them, ignorance is an embarrassment, so please don’t ask!

However, new information has come to light, if you’ll excuse the pun. I now have answers that no scientist in the world has today.

How?

I speak to dead scientists!

One of the great things about starting each day working with the guidance of an ascended master is that, once in a while, the master brings a surprise guest. One day, the spirit form of quantum physics pioneer Wolfgang Pauli showed up in my study!

He’s quite a character and I immediately took a liking to him. He wanted me to know that, in the afterlife, science is not so mystified about quantum physics. In fact, what people call quantum weirdness is not, in fact, weird at all. However, it does take an expanded mindset to be able to grasp the spiritual underpinnings of physical reality. He says that physicists who insist that there is nothing beyond physical matter will never understand these things until they expand their worldview to at least include the metaphysical nature of light.

Etheric energy is the key to understanding the nature of light. This vital life energy is a metaphysical, primary energy which, when stepped down and converted, becomes physical electric energy. Our physical bodies are made of matter which consists of electric energy. People in the realms of the afterlife inhabit spirit bodies which consist of etheric energy.

Our eyes don’t see spirit people because physical eyes don’t see etheric energy or etheric matter. Cosmologists have detected the presence of huge amounts of etheric energy and matter in space but, because their eyes don’t see these things, they call them “dark energy” and “dark matter.” That’s rather ironic. Wolfgang assures me that, with spirit vision, etheric energy is not dark at all. Quite the opposite. To him, the air is filled with what looks like a sunlit mist because he sees that energy in the air.

There is an etheric energy component to light. In its free-to-travel form, light is charged with etheric energy in addition to its well-known electric and magnetic energies. In fact, the nonphysical etheric energy encases and shrouds the physical electromagnetic energy from view. When a particle of light hits a barrier, or is deflected by an obstruction, it loses its etheric charge and become visible to physical human eyes.

This happens because, when light hits a barrier and is forced to change course, its non-physical etheric energy component carries on as if no barrier had been encountered, much like a ghost passing through a physical wall. The physical (electromagnetic) component of the light, now diverted onto a different path and free of its nonphysical shroud, becomes visible.

The Earth’s atmosphere diffracts (diverts) light, breaking it up to make the Sun appear yellow in a blue sky. The lenses and mirrors in a space telescope such as the Hubble interfere with light, making it visible. You could see the stars through a window in a deep space craft provided the window includes a diffraction grating to interfere with the light.

The Earth’s magnetosphere also interferes with light, making it visible, as detailed in my Dark Light Effect article.

You can see light after it has reflected off an object. You can see also light after it collides with molecules of air in our atmosphere. But, if you travel up above the atmosphere and far into outer space, all the light from the Sun and the stars is traveling in an etherically charged, high energy state. That’s why you won’t see the stars. Their light is traveling in its metaphysically-enshrouded state.

The good news is that, when you turn around, you’ll still see the Earth shining brightly, beckoning you home. Why? Because the sunlight that hits the earth’s atmosphere loses its metaphysical, etheric energy charge, dropping down to a physical energy level so that you can see its effects on the clouds and the ground.

Etheric energy is the missing energy in today’s science. Until it is recognized and fully understood, it won’t establish its destined role in our growing understanding of the universe. As a primary energy, the science and applications of etheric energy will be magnitudes greater in importance than everything that has been achieved to date in electrical and electronic science.
