Become a Peace Creator

by Owen K Waters

In the old tradition, the serious spiritual aspirant would ideally head for a cave and shut themselves inside until they reached some degree of enlightenment. Peace was a by-product of such isolation, partly because the aspirant was no longer in contact with the turmoil being constantly generated by a suffering humanity.

Today, that concept is being overturned for one more heart-centered. In The Shift to higher awareness, the idea of peace has expanded to include its full yin and yang aspects. The passive yin part is the mellow bliss of inner peace, while the active yang part actually spreads peace to those members of humanity who most desperately need its soothing balm.

Here is the powerful spiritual technique of what I term Kriya Shanti Yoga – the spiritual practice of creating peace. The concept is not new. It has been around since the 1950s when a Western Master of Yoga began teaching people the then-novel idea that they could actually heal the world.

Here, in its entirety, is the technique that will enable you to join with the new wave of Peace Creators…

First, go within. Reconnect with your spiritual source. Use your own meditation technique or the Infinite Being meditation. End your meditation session by spending time in gratitude for life, nature and the Infinite Being from which we have all materialized.

Let a sense of gratitude for everything in your life fill your heart.

Then, intend world peace and world enlightenment. Send this intention out into the world as love energy through the heart chakra, which is located just in front of your breastbone. Move that energy into the global mind atmosphere surrounding the Earth in this way…

On every in-breath, imagine white light from the Cosmos entering your crown chakra, which is above the head, and then traveling down your spine to the level of your heart. Then, let it travel forward into your heart chakra, just in front of your breastbone.

Now, see an energy of white light coming up from the Earth and entering the base of your spine to travel up your spine to the level of your heart, then forward, to merge with the cosmic energy in your heart chakra.

These energies of the Cosmos and the Earth will fuse together and cause an energetic reaction at the frequency of the heart chakra. This fusion forms a ball of energetic white light in the heart chakra, one which is conditioned by your intention for world peace and enlightenment.

Now, with every out-breath, send the power of this energetic reaction out into the world. Direct it as a beam of white light from your heart chakra out into the world.

Continue this in-breath, out-breath cycle for several minutes and you will not only help heal the world, you will change your entire day for the better.

The universe reflects who you are. When you practice healing the world, by automatic reflection, you bring healing to yourself and to all challenges you face.

The Power of Your Inner Being

by Owen K Waters

There is a power within you which very few suspect.

While your “outer self” – your daily waking consciousness – is focused upon the external world, your inner being encompasses all aspects of your consciousness. Your inner being includes your outer self, your subconscious mind, and all the other, so-called “unconscious” parts of your mind that psychologists have tried to identify.

Your inner being is your complete consciousness. It is all of the “separate” parts of your consciousness in one unified package. Your inner being is also your soul – the real you, the complete you. It has also been referred to as your “higher self” because, compared to the consciousness of the outside world, most of your inner being operates at a higher frequency of consciousness. It manages many essential functions for you while your outer self focuses upon the experience of life in the external world through your five senses.

As members of the human race, we are spiritual adventurers who have projected ourselves into a physical realm in order to experience an intense focus of consciousness. Our purpose in the physical realm of consciousness is to gain a sharply-defined sense of identity and then to expand our awareness into heart-centered consciousness and beyond.

These stages of consciousness are reflected in the human chakra system, which is a set of gateways of consciousness between you and the outside world. The main portion of Western society today functions at the level of the solar plexus chakra, which emphasizes intellectual and technical development. Then, there is an ever-increasing body of people who function at the level of the heart chakra. These leading-edge people spend much of their time functioning through this holistic and integrative chakra. Here they learn how to be heartfelt and then – the next stage – heart-powered in their consciousness.

Through meditation, spiritual pioneers go further still and activate the throat chakra, which is the center of powerful creativity. It is also the level of consciousness where your soul or inner being is based. This higher frequency of consciousness carries with it an enormous power to create any reality that you need in order to realize your potential in life.

While the consciousness of the heart chakra is more expanded than that of the solar plexus chakra, the throat chakra is even more expanded still. Your inner being’s field of perception and influence reaches out to include many functions and abilities which are mostly dormant in the daily consciousness of the outer self. These include:

*An intuitive awareness of situations, one which sees deeply beneath any surface appearances.

*Spiritual connection. Your inner being is your personal connection to Infinite Being.

*Connection to the universe as a whole. Your inner self has the capability to be aware of anything that happens anywhere in the universe. It can also reach out to communicate with the inner being of anyone who has the answer to something which you seek to solve. It then feeds that information into your outer self’s focused segment of consciousness through intuition and dreams.

*The inner senses. These are inner versions of the outer senses. Inner sight is the sense that sees the subtle energy effects produced by fields of consciousness, such as, for example, human auras. Inner hearing provides empathic and telepathic communication with others as needed. Inner touch reveals the past history and associations of physical objects. Inner taste and smell provide an awareness of the subtle energies emanating from substances.

Imagine having access to all of these abilities! With them, you could sail through life, experiencing true joy, continually discovering and expressing more of your true potential in life.

These inner abilities do not have to be developed within your daily consciousness. You already possess them at the level of your inner being.

Your Inner Compass

by Owen K Waters

compassThe Nature of Change

One constant that you can count on in life is change.

Change exists because life is in motion, and motion is one of the three aspects of the original consciousness that underlies all of Creation. Everything in the universe springs from two complementary aspects of consciousness – thought and feeling – set into motion.

The existence of motion as one of the fundamental components of Creation guarantees that change is continuous. The point of life is to experience infinite variations of expression of the one underlying consciousness, Infinite Being.

Changes in Your Life

Major changes in life are rarely easy, but our very reason for being is to work through changes and experiences in life.

Today, changes are being accelerated by our being in the global transformation called The Shift. Many would say that today’s changes are intense to the point of becoming chaotic. In physics, chaos is a temporary phase between one natural state of harmony and its transformation into a higher form. The transition phase between the two states becomes very choppy until the higher form is reached.

Today, we are moving through the storm before the calm.

We are so beset by change that it can become hard to discern what changes are important and what changes are just societal noise which has little bearing on the real paths that we need to tread through life. It is here that a sense of inner direction becomes an exquisite asset.

Navigation Through Life

Sometimes your own purpose in life seems like an ever-unfolding saga. Like a journey across the seas by boat, your journey through life is made safe and direct by the use of a compass. In this journey, you have a built-in compass that helps you navigate in the most appropriate direction.

That compass is your sense of innermost joy. As an expression of your inner being, like a compass, your innermost joy points the way. When you think about the one action you could take right now which would move you towards the most long-term inner joy, you are seeing that course of action which is most connected to your inner being.

Because destinations in life are reached in steps or stages, your inner compass can actually point in seemingly different directions on different days. They key is to realize that the one task you can best address at any given moment is the one which is most aligned with your innermost joy.

Each step on a journey is different; yet, all steps lead to the final destination. If you are inspired to do one thing today and to do something different tomorrow, it is because those tasks are both steps along the pathway to the desired destination. Trust in the timing of your inner guidance. It’s wisdom comes from the part of you which is your connection to the universe and to Infinite Being.

Be attentive to your inspiration and the ideas that it brings. Make a note of these ideas as they occur and, in retrospect, you will be amazed as to how insightful they were.
